The global incidence of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) induced Head and Neck Cancer (HNC) has increased markedly over the last several decades. While this topic is increasingly studied in the United States, there are no reports in the literature regarding oral HPV epidemiology in Haiti. Anecdotal evidence suggests low rates of traditional risk factors like smoking and alcohol, yet high rates of HNC, suggesting an increased prevalence of oral HPV. We will assess the prevalence of HPV induced HNC in Haiti.
