Augusta Victoria Hospital (AVH) in East Jerusalem is serving Palestinian patients from the occupied West Bank and Gaza, offering care that is unavailable in other Palestinian institutions. The project will implement an awareness, prevention, early detection and screening program for breast cancer in rural areas of the West Bank through visits of a mobile mammography unit and team. The project will contribute to the attainment of women’s right to health care in a context where access to breast care is often restricted both by cultural norms and restrictions of movement.. This project was identified by RTI International for their own research purposes and some fields do not align with The GO Map categories. End dates were estimated as one year after the start date. The Project Type "Research, Clinical" may not accurately describe this project's focus but was used for all RTI International's Global Noncommunicable Diseases Initiative projects added in June 2018. Specialties were not analyzed. All project funding was valued in 2015 USD.
